Snapshots and Channels don't really seem to interact at all. For example, you start with the Background snapshot. Make some changes, and create Snapshot2. Now add a spare channel and create Snapshot3.

Now restore the Background snapshot. If you look at the Channels panel, your new channel is still there. Same happens if you restore Snapshot2. The spare channel has an existence independent of which snapshot you restore.

Problem: new document from snapshot fails to include spare channels

That is a bummer. Odd that I haven't noticed it before.

Mac Pro (Late 2013) Mac OS 12.7.6
Affinity Designer 2.6.0 | Affinity Photo 2.6.0 | Affinity Publisher 2.6.0 | Beta versions as they appear.

I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.

As Walt said, Snapshots do not include spare channels. Maybe a deliberate design decision, but I can't imagine why it would be, so seems like a bug to me. Can this be looked at, please?

@MEB logged it (AFP-4006) in November, 2020, but perhaps a status update would be appropriate :)

I was going to nudge more of my old bug reports, but have decided against it - it would just irritate people. Anyway, the older ones would have been deleted by me a few years ago when I went on a scorched earth rampage.
