emsitkowski
Hi, I purchased Affinity Designer yesterday and wanted to give it a try today, however I experienced a problem in the first seconds of using it. When opening any .AI or .EPS file, some of the vectors appear to be flat black shapes. Only simpler backgrounds load fine, but any 3d-like shapes, color fills etc. appear black. It happens on every file I try to open. There is no problem with the files, since they open correctly on another PC with Adobe Illustrator. I use MacOS Big Sur (which I guess may be the problem?). I didn't have the problem when I was testing Affinity on trial for a bit, back when I was on Catalina.
Staff Lee D Posted November 26, 2020 Staff Share Posted November 26, 2020 It may be how the shapes are created or if they have something applied to that Designer isn't recognising. If you can upload a sample file it can be checked to see if anything stands out.
