I am getting a bit annoyed when working in publisher.

Say I edit a document and edit some text and then want to move a object I need to click on the arrow/V move tool. Trying to shortcut using "V" ends many times up with writing "V" or creating new text with "V" in it.

Is there another better way to cancel / deselect?

Click once with the text tool on an empty area of the page, or on the object you want to move, and then type 'v'.

Cheers,

Or first key ESC and then key V.
