So I have been working on a print ad design which I would very much like to get out soon. I purchased Designer a few days ago but after I installed and launched it brought up the files I'd already been working on (good) but apparently I'm still in the trial version.

I tried looking on forums and they say I need to un-install the trial version in order to bring up the paid version - but I'm afraid of losing my work, and I can't figure out how to do a backup - maybe I can't, going off the trial version?

Please help! I can be reached at sbenger@shaw.ca or (780) 907-3231.

Thanks,

- Stephanie

Looking at your other post with the screen shot, you are using a version from one of the stores. They don't require a product key as they are tied to the store account.

Agreed, Mike. The screenshot in this post is from the Mac App Store.

@StiffStef: If you drag the trial version to the trash and then empty the trash, you should find that the retail version launches successfully because you no longer have a conflict between the trial version and the retail version.

Your work is stored separately, but in any case it’s highly recommended that you keep backups of your project files on removable media or cloud storage.
