Pagemaker Files

Recommended Posts

Welcome to the forums @dilloman
I’m pretty sure that it doesn’t.
Attached are two images, the first shows the file types which Publisher can Open, the second shows which file types Publisher lets you Place (import) into an existing document.

Note: This in on Windows, there may be some differences on OS X.

As far as I can tell PageMaker has never run on macOS X (the last full release was for OS9 in 2001, fact fans) and I would bet a pound to a penny that Publisher will not open its files on Mac.

Affinity Photo 1.8.6,  Affinity Designer 1.8.6, Affinity Publisher 1.8.6, Mac OSX 11.0.1, 2018 MacBook Pro 15"

Betas as they happen...

Which PageMaker version? Adobe InDesign CS2 to CS6 can open Adobe PageMaker version 6 and 7 files, and versions starting from CS4 can save .INDD files as IDML files, which can be opened in Publisher. But if your files are not complex, and you can still create PDF files from within PageMaker, then the PDF route is probably the most painless.
