How to Turn Colored Images into Line Art

I am brand new to Affinity, and Photo, Publisher, and Designer.  I have used Photoshop a bit before and Photopea.  

I would like to know how to do what this video (the video is using Photoshop) using Affinity.

Hi,

yes you can do that in a similar fashion with Affinity Photo ...

 

... though you can also trace/vectorize a Jerry bitmap to a two color black&white vector, which then has the advantage to can be scalled up/down as needed!

Sorry to ask a dumb question, but this pertains to your first video.  

I see that you have duplicated the image, but then I cannot tell which menu bar you go into to choose black and white (schwarz-weiß)

In other words, what is the English translation for neue anpassungsebene.  I don't know what that means in English (I translated it, in Google, but I still don't know).
