locomoco Posted November 22, 2020 Posted November 22, 2020 I am brand new to Affinity, and Photo, Publisher, and Designer. I have used Photoshop a bit before and Photopea. I would like to know how to do what this video (the video is using Photoshop) using Affinity. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f2jgoMW8wsM Second question - would I use Affinity Photo to do this? Thanks! Quote
v_kyr Posted November 22, 2020 Posted November 22, 2020 Hi, yes you can do that in a similar fashion with Affinity Photo ... screencast.mp4 ... though you can also trace/vectorize a Jerry bitmap to a two color black&white vector, which then has the advantage to can be scalled up/down as needed! locomoco Posted November 22, 2020 Author Posted November 22, 2020 Thank you! I'll try that. And how would you the other thing you mention? ... though you can also trace/vectorize a Jerry bitmap to a two color black&white vector, which then has the advantage to can be scalled up/down as needed! Thanks! Quote

locomoco Posted November 22, 2020 Author Posted November 22, 2020 Sorry to ask a dumb question, but this pertains to your first video. I see that you have duplicated the image, but then I cannot tell which menu bar you go into to choose black and white (schwarz-weiß) In other words, what is the English translation for neue anpassungsebene. I don't know what that means in English (I translated it, in Google, but I still don't know). thanks! Quote
locomoco Posted November 22, 2020 Author Posted November 22, 2020 Oh, I found it! It stands for "New Adjustment Layer." Quote
