Help with colouring

Hi all,

Really simple request for an equally simple man. I want to add multiple colors without having to manually add them myself with a brush. How can I achieve this on Affinity?

Here is an example of what i want (please see attached image): Did it manually but looks really unclean. There must be a way to make it look better while also making the process easier!

Assuming you have a pixel layer (not vector objects) a possible way would be to...
1. create a selection ('running ants' marque) and
2. apply an adjustment to shift the color of the selected area, for instance HSL or Recolor adjustment.

Or use a layer fx such as Gradient Overlay set to Colour blend mode.

Maybe find a better version of the icon as well.

Personally I’d recreate it as a vector.

If? You are talking about designer here are a couple of videos worth looking into:

On the first one skip to about the 7th minute...... No paint brushes used in either multi coloured design.
