Hi @Kolkrabe_54,
Welcome to Affinity Forums :)
I'm sorry for the delay getting back to you. This seems to be known issue that's affecting various apps distributed through the Mac App Store. If you try to run a couple it's possible other apps may crash too - if so you can fix the codesigning issue/crash following the steps outlined in this thread. Let us know if you still have trouble after following them.

Hi MEB,

thanks for the info - I'll keep this in mind for future problems...

Luckily, I found another workaround to solve this issue - I simply started the affinity apps once again (keeping the mentioned error message open in the background)...and this time, the apps started normally (!). And this behavior is reproducable...! Don't ask me why...

Therefore this problem seems to be solved - many thanks for the kind help!

This works even if you rename the file correctly again after opening the apps:

this is not a perfect solution. however, it is a temporary solution for recent issues.

entering command+shift+g in finder activates go to the folder.

enter /Library/Keychains/crls/

delete or rename the "valid.sqilite3" file.

my opinion is that all apps recently installed by high sierra are having problems due to an error in authentication problems caused by the keychain.

as said at the outset, this is a temporary solution. If the same problem is repeated, repeat the solution.

Hello, i have the same problem. just updated to High Sierra and no longer able to open it. i tried every suggestion stated on this topic. no luck 😞

The "affinity store" trial version works perfectly.

i'm considering to buy it again from the affinity store but it is a pity that i have to solve in that way 😞

thanks

I have Photo & Designer from Mac App Store and Publisher from affinity store, I have no problem at all whit Publisher. Is a Mac App Store problem.

I tried first whit some free app like XNConvert and could not open the newly purchased program either.

The only thing that solved the problem for me was to rename the file "valid.sqilite3" so I could open affinity photo, affinity designer and the rest of Mac App Store apps.

Do you have the most recent Mac App Store Retail version installed? It is 1.8.6.

Mac Pro (Late 2013) Mac OS 12.7.4
Affinity Designer 2.4.0 | Affinity Photo 2.4.0 | Affinity Publisher 2.4.0 | Beta versions as they appear.

I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.
