With this tool, selecting a layer in the Layers Studio won't highlight it in your document - if you want to select and highlight the object, please use the Move Tool (V). Sometimes the layer won't be visually selected when clicking on it in the Layers panel until I try several times clicking back and forth between two layers. Most of the time it works fine and will be visually selected with both the move tool and the hand tool but sometimes the layer won't turn blue. As mentioned above, you need to use the Move tool if you want to see these controls If you're having trouble selecting layers in the Layers Studio itself, please create a bug report with a screen recording showing this - many thanks!
