"Imperial" Fractions

Recommended Posts

Are you referring to vulgar or common fractions in general, or are you seeking to distinguish specifically between nut, stacked, or case fractions (where the numerator is separate from the denominator by a horizontal line) and slashed or diagonal fractions (where the separator is an oblique stroke)? Nut fractions are tricky if you don’t have fonts that include them, but you can easily construct slashed fractions from superscript and subscript numerals.

Fractions in typography for more numbers.

The Typography panel enables features that are provided by the font you are using.  If your font does not provide a ligature or representation for the specific fraction you need, it won't be available there.

Fractions in typography for more numbers. Like 3/8, 9/16, 15/32,  etc. I work on a catalog that uses imperial measurements on their products and it would be a big time saver.

As fde101 stated if your font doesn't have the glyphs for fractions you have to use Super- and Sub- script plus a leading offset and then the Shear for the " / ".

I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.

Yes, but this is the feature request part of the forums, and Affinity could provide fake fraction support, just as it provides fake Super- and Subscript support :)
