Affinity Designer not responding after launch on Windows 10

Recommended Posts

I have re-installed Affinity version 1.8.5 but still unable to use the App. If I select New document, or open the application goes into "not responding" and the application hangs

Please find details of my Windows Surface and Windows 10 Version,

Installed RAM    16.0 GB (15.6 GB usable)
System type    64-bit operating system, x64-based processor

Edition    Windows 10 Home
Version    20H2
Installed on    ‎25/‎10/‎2020
OS build    19042.630
Experience    Windows Feature Experience Pack 120.2212.31.0

Affinity designer version: 1.8.5.703

I am also experiencing the same issue with the other affinity products Publisher and Photo

I have uninstalled Photo and Publisher and reinstalled designer, issue still persists..,

I have tried resetting and clearing all the data and resetting the app (Ctrl + Start App)>  select all > clear.

Also note there is no  .dmp file created.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated, very frustrating ...

Thanks

I'm having this same issue with version 1.8.5.  I've also re-installed the software (designer and photo).  Run sfc /scannow.  Ensured Win10 has all latest updates installed. I've looked for a crash report but I didn't find anything.

Designer (as well as Photo) opens but as soon as I try to open a previous image or start a new one the application freezes and eventually says "not responding".

If anyone has any idea of what to check I'd appreciate it.  Thanks in advance!
