Hi @Averarham,

Convert to Curves will change any selected object in your document into a 'Curve' object, which can be manipulated with the node tool.

For example, you may draw an Eclipse Ellipse using the Quick Shape tool, but then you want to edit just one part of this 'curve', this cannot be done in it's current Quick Shape format. Converting the object to curves allows you to selectively edit any part of the Eclipse Ellipse shape. Equally, this can be used on text for in-depth character editing, or on images to manipulate/crop the layer using the node tool.

Expand Stroke allows you to edit the stroke applied to any curve object separately from the 'main' curve. This option will 'detach' a stoke from the parent object the command has been used on, and convert the stroke to a closed shape - that once again can be edited with the node tool.

I hope this helps!

Thank you so much, I came from inkscape and I was totally newbie on the terminologies used here in Affinity, Thank you so much for explaining it to me precisely.
