Jackhandy Posted November 15, 2020 Posted November 15, 2020 I've looked through the faqs to no avail: Using my new Dell inspiron 15 7000 without access to its keyboard, bought a bluetooth 28-key numpad, which works well with the hot keys I've, so far, modified for use with it. Just found a problem - Can't select a source point for the clone tool without an alt key! Is there a way round this without having to have a Bluetooth keyboard cluttering up the workspace? Is there a way to re-map the alt/ctrl keys, or any keys, for that matter, either in window or AF? Quote
Alfred Posted November 15, 2020 Posted November 15, 2020 Welcome to the Serif Affinity Forums, @Jackhandy. Can you use the onscreen keyboard on your setup? https://www.laptopmag.com/uk/articles/full-layout-touch-keyboard-windows-10 Quote Alfred Affinity Designer/Photo/Publisher 2 for Windows • Windows 10 Home/Pro Affinity Designer/Photo/Publisher 2 for iPad • iPadOS 17.5.1 (iPad 7th gen)
Jackhandy Posted November 15, 2020 Author Posted November 15, 2020 Thanks for replying, Alfred; Yes, I can use the onscreen keyboard - But it has No Alt key! However, I found Sharp Keys and, after a couple of false starts, managed to re-map the key so that it works a treat now. The problem was all down to me, being thick, & not paying proper attention - The alt key was described as the Left alt key in an alphabetically-arranged list, so I was continually missing it. Sorry to have wasted people''s time, but maybe this might be of help to any other dimwit trying to use a touchscreen with the desktop software 😴 Alfred and Bryonie 2 Quote
