Rocket_Poop Posted November 14, 2020 Posted November 14, 2020 (edited) in any of the software where you can draw, is there an option to auto merge strokes when you draw with the drawing tools? Instead of having to keep selecting all, right clicking and merging each time? Or keyboard shortcut to emrge curves would suffice. Edited November 14, 2020 by Rocket_Poop Quote
v_kyr Posted November 14, 2020 Posted November 14, 2020 See the Affinity online help for the related apps, how their drawing tools operate and the offered/customizable keyboard shortcuts there. For example from the AD online help: Draw curves and shapes Pen tool etc. Quote ☛ Affinity Designer 1.10.8 ◆ Affinity Photo 1.10.8 ◆ Affinity Publisher 1.10.8 ◆ OSX El Capitan ☛ Affinity V2.3 apps ◆ MacOS Sonoma 14.2 ◆ iPad OS 17.2
Boldlinedesign Posted November 14, 2020 Posted November 14, 2020 @Rocket_Poop - how are you doing it right now? Are you doing strokes and then expanding and merging and then doing a few more? Why not wait until the end of the inking and expand and divide or merge then? Quote
G13RL Posted November 15, 2020 Posted November 15, 2020 If you are using the Pen Tool, the Add New Curve To Selected Curves Object button automatically merges each new curve to the previous ones (without the need to do Expand Stroke). In the layers, the object made up of all these curves is then marked "Curves" (with an s). Afterwards, if you want to delete or recuperate one of the curves, you can separate these curves: "Layer", "Geometry", "Separate Curves". To merge them again: "Layer", "Geometry", "Merge Curves".
