Using Affinity Photo Beta 1.8.0.820 & following how to extend backgrounds  As soon as selection is made with crop tool & applied program crashes

  1. Issue in earlier builds/versions of the beta I believe - you better install the newest beta:
  2. BUT! Unless you are deliberately testing the beta - or checking out its new features - stick to the release versions for learning and especially production work

  • Not an Affinity user og forum user anymore. The software continued to disappoint and not deliver.

Welcome to the Serif Affinity forums, @Brianwiz.

First, I think you have a small typo. You probably mean 1.9.0.820. Next, for any beta, you should be reporting problems in the appropriate beta forum (in this case, Photo Beta on Windows), not the bugs forum. An administrator will probably move this to the proper forum for you.

As Jowday said, the problem is fixed in the current beta.
