eobet
In the layers panel, there are a row of buttons along the bottom, where the Adjustments and Fx produce rather similar layer modifications. However, the Fx button pops up a new dialogue where you have to make additional clicks to select something, whereas the Adjustment button popups a menu where you can immediately make your selection. This feels like baggage from Photoshop that might be familiar, but feels like a missed opportunity for streamlining and making the UI more consistent... walt.farrell
The Adjustments list that pops up lets you select 1 adjustment, and then gives you a dialog where you can set the adjustment options and create a new layer in your document. The Layer Effects list that pops up lets you select 1 or more adjustments, and set their options, and everything you select applies to the current layer. It could be argued that the Layer Effects version is more efficient and modern, because you don't need to keep going back to the icon to select another effect, as you have to do with the Adjustments. On the other hand, given the differences in what they do, I think the difference in behavior is appropriate. Neither would work as well if it had the interface of the other. fde101 1 Quote -- Walt Designer, Photo, and Publisher V1 and V2 at latest retail and beta releases PC: Desktop: Windows 11 Pro 23H2, 64GB memory, AMD Ryzen 9 5900 12-Core @ 3.00 GHz, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090 Laptop: Windows 11 Pro 23H2, 32GB memory, Intel Core i7-10750H @ 2.60GHz, Intel UHD Graphics Comet Lake GT2 and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Laptop GPU.
