Text Line Spacing

I'm having some difficulty with line spacing, I have watched the tutorial but this still doesn't help. 

I see in the tutorial when he has a 5pt line spacing the lines are over the top of one another, on my program there is still a significant gap, which looks like a 18pt in the tutorial.

Please could you assist?

Hi Rob,

Welcome to the forums I recommend changing your display name to avoid spam.

If possible could you provide the file in question so I can take a look at your settings? Are you aligning to a baseline grid if so does removing your grid solve this issue?
