maxen
Seems to be impossible to set an radial gradient to an outside aligned shapes stroke. The gradient stops at the shapes boundary, so the middle aligned stroke also only get one half as a gradient.
Staff Sean P Posted November 13, 2020 Staff Share Posted November 13, 2020 Hi maxen, This is working for me. Please ensure you're applying the gradient to the stroke and not the fill using the Gradient Tool. See attached. If this is still not working then could you attach a file that demonstrates this please.
maxen
How do you get these handles inside the stroke? Thought the gradient would start in the shapes center always.
Staff Sean P Posted November 13, 2020 Staff Share Posted November 13, 2020 Using the gradient tool you can draw a handle where ever you want it to be by clicking and dragging in an empty area, alternatively you can grab the start node to drag the current handle around. maxen
Well, I'm missing the gradient tool in my toolbar. I remember there is a way to costumize the toolbar - just can't recall it.

maxen
Now I got It! You have to first tick the fill tool and THEN switch to Stroke, because AD automatically sets the mode to fill (because using the FILL tool...) Thanks!
