Hello everyone, I'm not english native, I will try my best...

May I asking for help, I would like to known the right way to obtain a kind of nice background for ecommerce .

I have two Hensel flash, and I photograph shoes with a white cardboard. Always the white have RGB tones, it's not pure white, before in photoshop I use selective correction to take out the CYMK colors from white (i.e yellow jersey) the white will be more clear after apply it. How I can do this in Affinity photo?

The second question is I use to Refined pixel selection and create a new layer with my product (i.e the picture of blue sneakers), I do not see is the right way because I lose some shadows and textures that make comprensible the picture. I see in profesional websites there area kind of natural background  (white/grey) as my last picture. How I can obtain this kind of  background ? And obtain the same balanced background for all the pictures that I'm shooting.

Thank you in advance, Juan

Hi Juanchu,

1. As far your issue with the background having tones of other colours you could select your background delete it and replace it with a solid white fill or use something like the balance adjustment :)

2. The shadow shown in your last image seems to just be solid black with a transparency/blur applied as you can see its not the shape of the shoe so its not the shoes actual shadow.

Thanks
