Are the iPad Affinity apps running on M1 Macs too?

Affinity iPad apps are not going to be installable on Big Sur, no. we already have Affinity Native apps on M1, so although some iPad apps may be made available on M1 Big sur, Serif Affinity iPad applications will not

So reports such as this one are inaccurate?

The latest macOS upgrade will be able to run iPhone and iPad apps natively, Apple has revealed, as long as the Mac is also running the Apple silicon M1 chip.

These iOS and iPadOS apps will work even if the developers haven't specifically adapted them to run on desktop and laptop computers.

No. You are simply not paying attention.

it is technically possible to run iOS apps on M1 computers, but developers have the option to disable it in the store.
Development for things like memory management on iPad apps is far different to dealing with macs who have a lot more RAM.

Thanks. I didn’t originally read the entire article, so I missed the bit about developers opting out (or rather, choosing not to opt in).
