thomaso Posted November 12, 2020 Posted November 12, 2020 Do these updates for all 3 Affinity apps contain also bug fixes, besides their macOS and mac hardware support improvements? – I wonder if I can skip this updates without loss as long I am not using Big Sure or M1. AFAIK this update is primarily focused on Big Sur & Apple Silicone support, and there may have only been little bug fixes implemented from the previous version (besides those for the aforementioned areas), hence why the announcement post does not have a list, like normal. We always recommend running the latest version where possible, however you are more than welcome to continue using 1.8.4 if you wish MEB and thomaso 2 Quote
Boldlinedesign Posted November 12, 2020 Posted November 12, 2020 I updated to the newest version of 1.8 you just released - and now when I try to open my 1.9 beta I've used for days, it is asking for a license key and email... the problem is, I bought it from the app store on Apple... how do I get the license key? Is this new request for a license key confirmation due to the new update to 1.8 that it's basing validity upon? Quote
Staff MEB Posted November 12, 2020 Staff Posted November 12, 2020 Hi Boldlinedesign, The current Betas do not recognise newer MAS versions (despite the version number). The next Beta build will recognise it and work without issues. It should be out soon. Boldlinedesign and Dan C 1 1 Quote A Guide to Learning Affinity Software

That's the important information, because Affinity already supports Canon .cr3 files, but perhaps not Canon R5 .cr3 files. Each model of camera may create slightly different versions of .cr3; it's not a single format.
