After upgrading to affinity-photo-customer-beta-1.9.0.834 from affinity-photo-customer-beta-1.9.0.791

- I can no longer use either and re-installing both after un-installing won't work either.

If you're experiencing issues with the Photo 1.9 beta then you should have posted in the appropriate beta forum, Photo Beta on Windows. Probably a moderator will move this for you.

There have been some issues reported with .834 related to the new requirements for enabling hardware acceleration. Try holding down the Ctrl key while you restart the program until you get the "Clear User Data" dialog. Leave the first 3 checked, and then press Clear.

If that works, open Preferences, then the Performance section, and turn off Hardware Acceleratiion.

If using the Clear User Data dialog does not work, you can try stopping Photo beta and then renaming the %AppData%\Affinity\Photo\1.0 (Beta) folder to something else, perhaps 1.1 (Beta), before restarting it again.
