Daniel Furst Posted November 11, 2020 Posted November 11, 2020 Hello I know how to use one single shape, lets say a circle as a clipping mask. I now would like to use the same technique but with multiple shapes. In this case it would be one image that is masked with a lot of heart shaped masks. So if looked from it from far it looks like one image. getting closer you would see it is in fact made of a few hundred hearts. Somehow like pixels. Is that possible at all. Quote
Staff MEB Posted November 11, 2020 Staff Posted November 11, 2020 Hi @Daniel Furst, Welcome to Affinity Forums Create all the heart shapes, group them, then drag the group over the thumbnail of the image layer (until you see a small vertical bar on the right of the thumbnail). If you need to re-adjust the hearts/shapes you will have to move the group out of the parent layer make the adjustments then drag them back again over the thumbnail of the image layer. Alternatively after creating all the hearts/shapes you can select them all and perform an Add boolean operation (menu Layer > Geometry > Add) to turn them into a single vector object then drag it over the image layer thumbnail as explained above. Daniel Furst Posted November 11, 2020 Author Posted November 11, 2020 Thanks a lot. I have managed to do so with Affinity Photo. Not yet with the Designer. Quote
