Donna Wolfe Posted November 9, 2020 Posted November 9, 2020 I was wondering if there is anyone that can assist me in my page set up. I have started a book brochure for my work and when I export it, it is not correct. I have something wrong in my set up and can't figure it out. Can anyone help me? Donna 2021.afpub Quote

Donna 2021.afpub 760.8 kB · 1 download I actually had no trouble exporting it to PDF for digital print with ppi set to 72 for screen reading. I also noticed a ton of pre-flight errors that need correcting, perhaps you should do this. But unless you tell me what you were exporting to and what exactly the problem is I can not help you further. Quote Microsoft - Like entering your home and opening the stainless steel kitchen door, with a Popup: 'Do you really want to open this door'? Then looking for the dishwasher and finding it stored in the living room where you have to download a water supply from the app store, then you have to buy microsoft compliant soap, remove the carpet only to be told that it is glued to the floor.. Don't forget to make multiple copies of your front door key and post them to all who demand access to all the doors inside your home including the windows and outside shed. Apple - Like entering your home and opening the oak framed Kitchen door and finding the dishwasher right in front you ready to be switched on, soap supplied, and water that comes through a water softener. Ah the front door key is yours and it only needs to open the front door.

How is it (the export) not correct? I do not have all the fonts you used and (of course ) none of the images so I can't help if that is where the problem lies. Donna Wolfe Posted November 10, 2020 Author Posted November 10, 2020 I am wanting to export it in a PDF ready for print format. I attached what mine looks like when I export it. Page 1 looks good, but the following pages something is not set correctly. Secondly, Old Bruce what would you say it the best way for the images, Link or embedded? Thanks for all your help, I am a newbie at this but love what it can do! Thanks, Donna 2021_Proof.pdf Quote
Joachim_L Posted November 10, 2020 Posted November 10, 2020 You have to export as pages, not as spreads. You find this in the export dialogue under the pulldown Area. Seeing as you are exporting to a PDF and sending that file to your printer I would say the best way for the images to be placed is whichever you prefer. Linked will keep the Publisher document's file size smaller but if the images are on a networked hard drive you may run into problems, if they are on your main hard drive you won't have those problems. For what it is worth I have no problems with linked, but I don't use the cloud or a network for storing my images.
