Easier brush selection and adjustments

Hi, I’ve recently started using affinity almost exclusively because I am done with Adobe for life. I have a huge level of frustration at this moment because it seems so clunky and selecting and modifying brushes and hardness, in fact I’ve only figured out how to change the size using the bracket keys and have been unable thus far to figure out how to change the brush or the hardness, Am I missing something obvious here? Can you please just make a pop-up similar to Photoshop where the brush can easily be adjusted? If this exists in affinity I sure can’t find it or any reference to it on the Internet anywhere. I’m using a 16 inch MacBook Pro for reference

When you have selected the paint brush tool in the toolbar you should see the paintbrush related settings in the context toolbar. See also images below...

you can use cmd+alt+drag up/down and left/right to change your settings, cmd+alt+click to cycle through size/hardness, shape/spacing and rotation

To make the brush smaller / bigger : Keyboard [ (smaller) ] (bigger).

You can also double-click on the individual brushes in the Brushes Panel and edit a much wider range of parameters:

Thank you! I wasn’t seeing the context bar, didn’t know to open the view tab and select it! Yay! Rookie move, thanks for the quick replies
