On a masters page, there is an unwanted text frame that I wish to remove or possibly relocate but it does not show in the layers panel.

Also, I am unable to pick up on that frame by clicking and/or double clicking over the frame. How can I locate that frame?

Do you have, or did you ever have, Facing Page Master pages? Do you have Master pages applied to other Master pages?

If so, it's possible that you have a Text Frame on the left-half of a Facing Page Master page that might be invisible if you applied that Master to a single-page Master page. (Something like this can also happen with Text Frames that are in the pasteboard rather than being directly on the Master page.

But that's all a guess, without some screenshots of your Master pages and/or having the document to examine.

Thank you very much for that answer. I think I resolved the problem. But another question raised in my mind by your above statement, What is the pasteboard?

The area outside of the Page on the main view of the document window. Use the metaphor of the Page being actual paper, the pasteboard is the tabletop/bench it is sitting on.

Mac Pro (Late 2013) Mac OS 12.7.6
Affinity Designer 2.6.0 | Affinity Photo 2.6.0 | Affinity Publisher 2.6.0 | Beta versions as they appear.

I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.
