JanGar5
I have a Word file sent to me for adding to a Publisher file (testtext.docx). I saved the Word file as a pdf (testtext.pdf) and opened it in Publisher to move the images around (which I could not easily do in Word). I saved the AP file (texttest.afpub) and exported the file as a pdf (texttest2.pdf). The exported pdf appears correct when viewed in Adobe Acrobat. I created a Publisher file (testtext3.afpub) and placed the 3 files (texttest2.pdf, testtext.afpub and testtext.pdf). The second two files appeared correct when placed, but the first one (testtext2.pdf) appears to have character combinations tt and ti replaced by Č and Đ (010C and 0110). Opening the exported pdf (testtext2.pdf) in Publisher also shows the character replacements. testtext3.afpub texttest.afpub texttest.docx texttest.pdf texttest2.pdf
walt.farrell
Sounds like an issue with those ligatures. When you first export the PDF from Publisher, click More... and scroll down to the bottom of the panel. Make sure that you have not chosen to subset the fonts. It should say Embed: All Fonts, and make sure Subset Fonts is not selected. See if that resolves your problem.
