Has anyone had the following problems, with Scribble turned on?

designer will not allow/translate Apple Pencil text, and it seems impossible to get the on screen keyboard to appear - thus making handling and inputting of text...difficult.

I think it only works when naming/renaming layers/files etc, not in the design text itself. I find it problematic and leave it turned off. Waoiting to see what affinity’s next iteration brings.😀

Hi safoster71,
I'm sorry for the delay getting back to you. We don't support scribble as input for the text tools however you can still call a keyboard while use the Apple Pencil with Scribble enabled. When you tap with it on screen using one of the Text tools you should see a small Pen icon inside a circle on the bottom left, tap on it to bring up additional options, then tap the keyboard button there.
