Ian Homewood Posted November 3, 2020 Posted November 3, 2020 Hi I've only just started using Affinity Publisher so have probably done something stupid. I'm hoping somebody can identify what that is. I have set up a few masters and am now creating a document. On most of the pages, the masters work fine but on one page the footer text does not show in the text frame although the frame itself, with background colour, is visible. When I select the master layer on the page and increase the size so that is extends beyond the page layers, the footer text appears, so I know it is there. I've checked all the other layers and nothing that I can see is over the footer, so I am at a loss. I have uploaded the offending page here. All help is appreciated. thomaso Posted November 3, 2020 Posted November 3, 2020 It's caused by the Text Wrap you use for the rounded rectangle above the footer. There are several options to avoid this. For instance... ... set the footer text frame on the master page to not-wrapping (> text frame panel). ... reduce the bottom distance in the text wrap options. ... use the rounded shape as text frame (lacks some text frame options). Just a hint for next "invisible" text: Zoom in to the red dot which appears at the frame's right edge, click the eye-icon to make the text appear. That shows how the text looks (e.g. does it exist?, in correct size?). Quote • MacBookPro Retina 15" | macOS 10.14.6 | Eizo 27" | Affinity V1 • iPad 10.Gen. | iOS 18.5. | Affinity V2.6
firstdefence Posted November 3, 2020 Posted November 3, 2020 Nudging the green rounded rectangle up a bit gets the footer text back. Select the green rounded rectangle or the Plant of the month layer group. Hold Shift and Press the up Arrow 3 times.
