Uncontrolled app closure

On several occasions, the Affinity Designer app has closed on me while I was actively using it with a loss of recent actions. This has happened three times today.

Are the crashes random or are you always doing the same thing when they occur? If you can retrieve and upload the crash reports for checking, they may narrow down to what is causing the app to crash.
