Different ´PDF import results on Windows and macOS for same document – not produced by Publisher.

Publisher 1.8.4 (or 5? im sitting at my Windows machine now)
MacOS 10.15.7

I´m not updating to a possibly inferiour version on macOS. My main platform has been Windows 10 Pro starting this year, but neither platform will use Publisher in the future. There are still too many weird behaviours, design decisions and the sheer amount of missing features on both platforms to merit further use.

Publisher 1.8.5.703
Windows 10 Pro 2004

Same Google Noto font(s) installed on all platforms, although that should have no effect on the behaviour exhibited.. The difference in this example seems to (mainly) be related to weird frame positioning.

Publisher is the only program exhibiting this behaviour.  No other PDF reader on any platform new or old, Windows, macOS, Linux, ipadOS, iOS or Android displays the problems shown by Publisher on a Windows platform.

Publisher is still to be described as: ”An acquired taste” ☹

Comment:

Since I’m not using Publisher anymore for any serious work, and since the document content is NOT for public use, you cannot get a copy of the original PDF document. It was just a fluke – a test you could say – of how the Windows platform behaved in the latest version released (I have legal licenses for all your products on both platforms. Licenses that will not be renewed). Suffice to say, that I still felt I wasted my time.
