Estoc Posted November 1, 2020 Posted November 1, 2020 I have an ABR format brush set that if I had to take a guess probably has around 2500 brushes in it or so? When I try to load it up into affinity, it gives me the loading circle but never resolves into the brushes actually loading into the program. I can load a set of 400-500 brushes and it'll take a few seconds, but this larger set refuses to load, and I eventually have to just close the program. Is there a way to fix this? Quote
Staff Callum Posted November 2, 2020 Staff Posted November 2, 2020 Hi Estoc, If possible could you provide the file in question so I can try importing it? Please could you also tell me which app you are using (and which version) and which operating system you are using? Thanks C Quote Please tag me using @ in your reply so I can be sure to respond ASAP.
Estoc Posted November 2, 2020 Author Posted November 2, 2020 Hey Callum, I am using the Microsoft Store version 1.8.5 version of Affinity Photo on Windows 10. The brush set can be found at https://drive.google.com/open?id=1-2uq3OmYGWW0trUZn8R9tWXPF471-AL3 Uploading the brushset file itself was taking too long since its 250 mb so I just posted the download link. firstdefence Posted November 2, 2020 Posted November 2, 2020 The Abr file crashes my Affinity Photo on Mac. I opened the abr file in Adobe Photoshop CC and it opens in seconds. In Adobe Photoshop CC I can group the brushes so I made eight groups. Estoc Posted November 3, 2020 Author Posted November 3, 2020 That's interesting how a select number of the brushes are causing the issues; I wonder why that is & if this is something that can be resolved. Quote
firstdefence Posted November 3, 2020 Posted November 3, 2020 So, had a bit of time before I leave for work and under the Lixin Brushes Group 2.2.3.2.1 (Crashes Affinity Photo) group I exported the top 4 brushes and they imported correctly, I then exported the last three brushes individually and they all imported correctly, so in that group none of the brushes actually crash Affinity Photo but as a group import they do… Go figure!!!
