Hi Affinity team,

I am hoping someone can help me with exporting esp's - I have had some trouble with this before however managed to resolve the issue last time.

When I try to export a logo file as an esp, it is not scaling infinitely - making me thinking that it is not a true esp. When I open the file and try to scale the image to be larger, it just stays the same size as the artboard. Does anyone know what I am doing wrong here?

My export settings are attached. I am also using artboards so I am not sure if this is impacting the export.

Any help would be amazing :)

Haha oh no :| esp exports are really frustrating.

It's just a simple logo - here is a test I exported. You can see it's not scalable when you enlarge it - it just stays the same size. I have tried so many different settings to try figure it out and I dont know what I am doing wrong. Any ideas?

When I open this EPS in Preview (I use Mac) it’s scales fine, if I open it in Affinity Designer it scales OK. What are you scaling this EPS file in?

EPS contents looks pretty normal, there's nothing untypical inside, just common paths and vector curves. So the whole should scale fine in any EPS capable tool.

☛ Affinity Designer 1.10.8 ◆ Affinity Photo 1.10.8 ◆ Affinity Publisher 1.10.8 ◆ OSX El Capitan
☛ Affinity V2.3 apps ◆ MacOS Sonoma 14.2 ◆ iPad OS 17.2

Thanks everyone :)

It is not loosing any resolution when I zoom in on the image - however I thought that with ESP files, when you open the file and change the size of the window, that the image was meant to scale with the size of the image. That's how i have received/ exported them in the past. Or is it simply that it doesnt look it's resolution? Just want to ensure these files are fine to use for printing

SVG will scale to the size of the window if the view box is set to 100%

This file was exported as SVG for export.

It’s not the first time you’ve reaped the benefits of ESP in relation to a question about EPS!! ;)
