publisher crashing but just on certain files

Publisher suddenly is crashing, simply disappears. 

In certain files, suddenly I can't delete even one page, or move any page around. 

I have plenty of room on my C drive. I tried re-installing Publisher, but it still crashes on certain files.  Using Publisher 1.8.5.703

Some files in the same group work fine.  The ones not working are 50-150 pp of many photos.

All of this worked fine for months until yesterday. 

Can files get corrupted?  How to fix them, if so.

Is there a problem with merging files with ´predominantly linked photos vs embedded photos?

I have tried saving the files to new file names, but publisher crashes again.  Immediately upon trying to delete or move any page.

Leaving this here in case someone else has the problem....

The crashing occurred after I merged files that each had several masters applied.  When I deleted the masters, the problem disappeared, and Publisher no longer crashes.  

But I would still like to know if there is anything deleterious in having large files with some photos linked, and some embedded.

Publisher should never crash

If you can upload some of the documents that caused the crash, when merged, that will help the Devs find out what the problem is and fix it

You can request a private Dropbox link (in this thread) to upload the documents privately if you prefer the documents to be viewed by the Devs only
