Hello all,

stumbled upon this just now. When I insert an object (an Affinity Photo document in my case) with text wrapping set to tight and I set the distance from the text to a negative value to get closer to the content of the object I get this weird overlapping text flow in and around the object when I pass a certain threshold. I understand that some intrusion of the text within the object is desired since this Affinity Photo document has transparency, but overlapping characters are not desirable.

Please find a screenshot and a sample document attached.

And feel free to correct me should this be my fault and not a bug.

Cheers,

Cronoxyd

I am surprised you can enter negative values there. Regardless, I would use the Edit Wrap Outline button on the Toolbar, it is the middle one, the circle.

I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.

Hey Bruce,

thanks for the quick answer. That cleared everything right up.

I suppose the negative distance is there if you actually wanted the text to intrude into the object while still retaining the actual outline, which makes later edits easier (kinda like mask growing/shrinking in some video editors).
