Hi,

I have a lot of graphical layers...for a video project.. it has a lot of circles... and the project is HD 1920 x 1080.

So I utilised the Export Persona to export all the elements and worked well.

When exporting from the Photo Persona you obviously get a HD file with the image in its place and all is well.

Is there a way to do a 'full project raster export' with the image in place from the Export Persona?

Welcome to the Serif Affinity forums.

Using File > Export from the Photo Persona is probably more appropriate for that purpose, but if you want to use the Export Persona just export the automatically created Slice named Background.

Thanks Walt, really loving Affinity, been wanting to escape from the other players clutches for years as not owning software if you stop paying and then not being able to open archived projects is a horrible feeling and something I consider almost criminal... anyway to Affinity and beyond 😁

The reason I need to use the Export Persona is because I literally have nearly 100 images and exporting individually from the Photo Persona is obviously slower than the Export Persona

Am I to assume the automatically created slice you mentioned is the BG layer created when first opening an image and then it gets called "Background'?

So are you saying that if I create a slice from a number of layers and include the 'Background layer' in the slice then all layers will be exported 'in place' within the document frame?

Cheers

No. I'm saying there is an automatically created slice named Background that I think will have what you want. This is in addition to any slices that you create.

I"m not sure what to say; it just happens for me, though in a new experiment I see that the name may not be Background. It is, however, the top slice in the Slices panel.

Thanks Walt, I know what you mean but unfortunately it does not export the other layers in the slice in their correct positions, it just exports each layer as an individual file with its individual size data centred.

Would be great to be able to do either or in the export persona or at least have some automation available to do it in the Photo Persona...

Anyway my work around is to place 1 pixel of black in each corner of every layer then crop by a pixel in post.

Cheers and thanks for your input.

I'd like to understand why your situation is different from what I see. Can you provide a sample file that demonstrates the problem?

If I understand you correctly this post may be an alternative way to your method of "placing 1 pixel of black in each corner of every layer " to achieve what you want
