Eddy-2
I select two rectangles and group them. I deselect them and select them again. When I do so, the 'Ungroup' field in the top toolbar doesn't work. Designer beta 1.9.0.820 on Windows 10.
Joachim_L
I can confirm. You can get the Ungroup button back, by clicking on the group in the Layers panel or moving the group with the Move tool. If the group is not moved, make sure that it is deselected. ------ Windows 10 | i5-8500 CPU | Intel UHD 630 Graphics | 32 GB RAM | Latest Retail and Beta versions of complete Affinity range installed
Staff MEB Posted October 28, 2020 Staff Share Posted October 28, 2020 Thanks Eddy-2. Issue logged to be looked at (it also affects Publisher and Photo). Eddy-2
Thanks Joachim_L. No problem with ungrouping using the Layers panel or the right-click menu, just the field as mentioned.

Staff Patrick Connor Posted November 6, 2020 Staff Share Posted November 6, 2020 We have made fixes/improvements to this area (Ungroup button appears greyed out in Move Tool's context toolbar ) of the program in the latest customer beta. If you would like to try these changes the beta software is available in the forum posts listed below. The latest beta builds are downloadable from links at the top of each of these beta forum posts. Affinity Photo 1.9.0 beta for Windows Affinity Designer 1.9.0 beta for Windows These betas install parallel, next to the release version (they do not overwrite your release) and so the fixes can be tried in the beta without affecting your normal workflow in the release version. Once these programs have been through a full beta process the change will be released in a future free 1.9.0 update/patch to all customers.
