fabricca Posted October 28, 2020 Posted October 28, 2020 hi, how can I copy and resize non symmetric shape in Affinity Designer, so distances between both shapes are equal all around thanks T. Quote
firstdefence Posted October 28, 2020 Posted October 28, 2020 The method used in all previous versions is to use Layer > Expand Stroke Align: the stroke to Middle, Inner or Outer depending on where you want the new shape to sit Size the stroke to the distance required away from the original Then use Layer > Expand Stroke In Affinity Designer 1.9.x beta version there is a contour tool available. It’s an odd tool to work with at the moment and not the most intuitive of tools to use. On first use it appears to inflate or deflate a shape and baking the appearance results in just that, an inflated or deflated shape. There is a clone keyboard shortcut that doesn’t work ⌥ so you have to duplicate the shape prior to inflating or deflating the shape. Once they have honed this tool it will replace the expand stroke workaround.
