Artzfartzy Posted October 27, 2020 Posted October 27, 2020 I am a long time user of Adobe Photoshop, but I am retired and cannot afford their prices. Question: Can an RGB and CMYK file be changed to grayscale for professional printing? Quote

I can confirm that Affinity apps can open/import RGB / CMYK files and they can be converted to Greyscale for printing. What type of documents are you looking to open/import please? Thanks in advance! Artzfartzy Posted October 27, 2020 Author Posted October 27, 2020 Graphics for a bulletin that gets printed for distribution to a group. The editor sends the graphics in color, either RGB or CMYK, and I have to convert to grayscale. The bulletin is printed in black ink. Thank you for answering me. Adobe has gotten quite expensive, and although I purchased the Creative Suite since version 2, they don't seem to care. Quote
Dan C Posted October 28, 2020 Posted October 28, 2020 Thanks for confirming that, perhaps you should try the free 10 day trials of the Affinity apps, to see if they're right for you Photo - https://affinity.serif.com/photo/trial Designer - https://affinity.serif.com/designer/trial Publisher - https://affinity.serif.com/publisher/trial Quote
Artzfartzy Posted October 31, 2020 Author Posted October 31, 2020 My printer worked it out for me, but I will try Affinity Photo. Thank you so much for your help with this! Dan C 1 Quote
