Full cover cover with black and white barcode

Recommended Posts

I made a full colour cover and for the publisher I placed a black and white barcode. When I export to an high resolution pdf the black and white barcode convert to CMYK. What do I do wrong.

Document made in Publisher 1.8.4

Barcode is black and white eps

Export to pdf: press ready with all the printers marks on.

OS system 10.15.7

Thanks for the help

Hi @Nieck,

Sorry to hear you're having trouble!

This is likely due to your export settings, but it would help to have a copy of your document to confirm this.

Can you please upload a copy of your .afpub file here, as well as a screenshot of your export settings (including the 'More' dialog)?

Many thanks in advance!

Thank you Dan for your reaction. After spending a lot of time on this forum and reading a lot posts about this topic I finally found a workaround that seems to solve the problem. The cover is send to the printer a few minutes ago and hopefully all is good.

I found the solution in 'Document Set Up' in color profile. The profile was set on sRGB in stead of CMYK. The moment I made a High Resolution pdf I choose the option take over the document prefenrences as color profile. It was a combination of the setup and the 'More' dialog box that really confused me.

Fingers crossed the problem is solved now.
