thomaso
I guess it gets caused by an artboard rotation, but – different to APub – in AD the ruler shows more odd decimals + stays mad after "Reset Rotation": v904 AD ruler weirdness.m4v macOS 10.14.6 | MacBookPro Retina 15" | Eizo 27" | Affinity V1
Staff Sean P Posted October 26, 2020 Staff Share Posted October 26, 2020 Hi Thomaso, The decimal places on a ruler is a known issue that is with development, however I'll get your comments passed on. I've tried with a mouse and got my colleague to try with a Magic Trackpad 2 and after rotating on both devices the Reset Rotation did correct the ruler values back to what they were before rotation. I assume you've used the View > Reset Rotation option? If so do you mind getting a screen recording showing your entire screen and capture the recording from creation of a new document please? I want to make sure there are no intermediate steps that I maybe missing.
thomaso
Hi Sean P, yes, I used View > Reset Rotation. But it appears to have been a temporary glitch. Though I had tried it several times before the screencast above and also had switched for a test to APub beta and back to AD, today I can't replicate this occurrence, neither with this document nor with a new created document. Instead it works as expected and resets the ruler's decimals after using View > Reset Rotation as soon the cursor hovers the document window again (not panels, tools) in my Separate Mode setting.
