AD on iPad (7th gen - 32gb) storage glitch on iPadOS 14

Recommended Posts

I just noticed that AD on iPad is taking up over half my storage at like 17gb. I know I have low storage already with the base iPad model but I mainly just work on icon designs and use small artboard sizes. I have about 33 project files and the largest file size is about 746kb, according to my iPad storage data. I recently updated to iPadOS 14 and noticed this issue. I never had an issue before updating my iPadOS, I check my storage capacity often because OCD. I have all my files saved to iCloud and I closed all of them. Could this be an issue with iPadOS?

Hi Ision Industries,

We have have had a number of reports about this happening, one of those threads is here.  One method that does seem to free up the used space, is uninstalling and reinstalling Designer.  If you do plan on doing this, please make sure you save anything on the home screen, as these would be deleted.  Also please make sure you backup the contents of the Affinity Designer folder on iCloud as this is also removed when you uninstall the app.
