Why not https instead of http?

Recommended Posts

I know that I could whitelist Affinity contacts to avoid malware alerts, but why doesn't Affinity use HTTPS: instead of HTTP, since it is supposedly more secure and and won't trigger malware-bytes and other security software?

I know that may be a non-trivial task, but might make life easier for Windows users (or until Windows becomes an extension of Linux like Steve Jobs wisely changed the Mac OS when he was rehired)

Just a request, not a serious criticissm.

I must apologize for making a serious mistake in asking why Serif and all associated websites, including this forum did not use https.  I just rechecked on DuckDuckGo and Serif and  all associated entries show that they use of https in URLs and NOT http.  For some reason I misunderstood this, and it maybe  I  had confused Affinity with another website.  Please excuse this as I am a follower of this forum, and greatly benefit from the experience and suggestions of its members.
