I dragged a .svg file into my Affinity Publisher document and the SVG was displayed incorrectly (all fills were black). So I attempted to remove it, but I can't. Deleting the layer is not an option; I can't select the image to delete it; I can't remove it using the Resource Manager. Is there any way to get rid of this SVG image??

Welcome to the forums @RISCfuture
Try selecting the Embedded (or Linked) Document layer in the Layers Panel, then right-clicking the same layer and choosing “Delete” from the pop-up menu.
If that doesn’t work you may need to give us a full-screen screen-grab showing the layer selected in the Layers Panel for us to see what’s happening.

If the image was placed inside a master layer (and shows handles as x instead of if selected) you would right-click the master layer in the Layers Panel and choose "Edit detached". This will give full access to all nested layers and allow to select, move or delete items.

This was the answer! Was unclear what a master layer was and how it worked.
