Hi Nadar,
Assuming you already know and have both images in the document - use the Commands menu (the ellipsis icon on the top left of the interface) then select Place to insert images into the document - do the following:
- select the image layer you want to superimpose over the other tapping on it in the Layers studio
- go to the Layers studio and tap the Plus icon on the top of the Layer studio and select Mask Layer
- tap the small arrow on the left of the image thumbnail in the Layers studio to expand the layer (so you can see and select the mask that you created and was nested to it)
- tap the mask layer to select it (in the Layers studio)
- switch to the Gradient Tool and drag it over the mask in the canvas to apply a gradient
- set the fill of the gradient colour stops to white and the other to black (white will make that part of the gradient visible, while black will make it transparent). To change the gradient's colour stops, tap the dot in the gradient handle on the canvas then set it to white or black in the Colour studio).

If you still have issues let me know and i will record a video showing these steps.
