Hi there,

Can someone please help me with this issue I am seeing with my artboards? I have tried to google it but have had no luck.

I designed a series of logos across a number of artboards - these were all working fine until i reopened the file one time and all the artboards had changed to a grid background. I can see all of my layers are still intact but I can't actually revert the artboard back to what it originally was.

Can someone please help? :) I'm sure it's just a setting (i hope) but I really have no idea.

The checker board background denotes areas of transparency.
If you go to Document Setup > Colour tab and untick the box ’Transparent Background’ all the art boards will get filled with a white  background.
With regard to the top left art board in your image, I wonder if you have added a white rectangle layer to it, which is giving you the white background there?

Just looked at your screenshot again and see that you have turned Off; 'Artboard Olive & Fare BLK WHT'. Have you done that to the other boards too perhaps?
