Hello there! No update on this?

As of January 28th 2021 this is still an issue. Not with all RAW files but enough that editing cannot be done consistently on iPad. (At least half of the images)

Image attached was taken on 5D MK 4 but also had an issue with the MK2 version as well. (Canon) (Note the bottom left corner of the image.)

Any help would be appreciated!

- Alex

Have you tried the latest beta? It has both Apple raw engine and Serif raw engine. Incorporates many bug fixes and updated Canon support.

Affinity Photo 1.10.5 Affinity Design 1.10.5

Many thanks for the link!

Unfortunately, I've had the same problem with the beta version.

I have however found out that this is an issue most (but not all the time).

I can simply discard the image, and import the same one again (in this case from OneDrive) and it may or may not have the glitch. It usually takes four or five tries however.

The video attached shows the process.

- Open from cloud

- Discard (if glitch occurs)

- Repeat until successful

This has occurred on multiple images of mine, but not all. Even if they were taken with the same camera.

Although not ideal, the video shows a work around for myself which usually takes under a minute.

As far as I know, this is the same on both the beta and current version of the app.

Hopefully the video provides more insight!

Have you tested with both the serif and the Apple raw engines. You can choose between them in settings. Might help pin down the issue.

It took me a while to find it!

In the latest beta version of the app, I have switched the RAW Engine to Serif Labs and everything seems to be working fine now!

I haven't had the issue since switching it.

Being new to iPads, is there any difference worth noting between the Apple and Serif Labs options?

I really appreciate your help!

Options appear to be identical. Is one better than the other? I really don’t know.

Hello, I have the same issue as the posts before. The lower left corner isn’t rendered well. I have the actual Photo version (1.9.1) and the the actual IOS Update (14.4). I tried many different photos but this problem appears in every photo I wanted to edit.

PS: if it’s needed, my camera is the Sony Alpha 7rm2
