etcetera
I’ve been seeing this in the lower left corner of nearly every raw file I import. Got the latest software update and a new iPad Pro running padOS 14.
Staff Chris B Posted October 20, 2020 Staff Share Posted October 20, 2020 Hey etcetera, Am I correct to assume all the affected images are from the same camera? Can you upload the image to this private Dropbox account please so I can take a look? https://www.dropbox.com/request/fi4XhRYHZJaScu5qouDC Quote How to format a bug report | Learning Resources | List of V2 FAQs | YouTube Tutorials
PhotoPlay
I am having this issue as well. Reloading several times can result in a correct import but not always. JonathanD
I am getting the same error, and when I batch process them a majority will have it. It is a duplication of the immediate portion to the right of the rectangle...
Alex Lathey
Hello there! No update on this? As of January 28th 2021 this is still an issue. Not with all RAW files but enough that editing cannot be done consistently on iPad. (At least half of the images) Image attached was taken on 5D MK 4 but also had an issue with the MK2 version as well. (Canon) (Note the bottom left corner of the image.) Any help would be appreciated! - Alex Edited January 28, 2021 by Alex Lathey

Incorporates many bug fixes and updated Canon support. Quote M1 IPad Air 10.9/256GB lpadOS 17.1.1 Apple Pencil (2nd gen). Alex Lathey
Many thanks for the link! Unfortunately, I've had the same problem with the beta version. I have however found out that this is an issue most (but not all the time). I can simply discard the image, and import the same one again (in this case from OneDrive) and it may or may not have the glitch. It usually takes four or five tries however. The video attached shows the process. - Open from cloud - Discard (if glitch occurs) - Repeat until successful This has occurred on multiple images of mine, but not all. Even if they were taken with the same camera. Although not ideal, the video shows a work around for myself which usually takes under a minute. As far as I know, this is the same on both the beta and current version of the app. Hopefully the video provides more insight! - Alex 20210129_224846000_iOS.mp4

Have you tested with both the serif and the Apple raw engines. You can choose between them in settings. Might help pin down the issue. Alex Lathey
It took me a while to find it! In the latest beta version of the app, I have switched the RAW Engine to Serif Labs and everything seems to be working fine now! I haven't had the issue since switching it. Being new to iPads, is there any difference worth noting between the Apple and Serif Labs options? I really appreciate your help!

blue_heron
I have this problem only when I drag&drop image files (Nikon RAW, D800) from the Files app into Affinity Photo. When I use “Import from Cloud” or “Open from Cloud” I don’t see the problem.
blue_heron
Correction: I have this bug also when I import those Nikon RAW files. Its not ALWAYS. It definitely happens when I don't check the image after development and keep working for 1/2 hour and do things that I can't reproduce 😢
Jarno
Hello, I have the same issue as the posts before. The lower left corner isn’t rendered well. I have the actual Photo version (1.9.1) and the the actual IOS Update (14.4). I tried many different photos but this problem appears in every photo I wanted to edit. PS: if it’s needed, my camera is the Sony Alpha 7rm2
