Kathrin_33
Hi there, when i edit a nef (Nikon) raw photo in develop persona the picture i see in the window jumps back to the un-edited view after a couple of seconds. The slider i use to actually make the adjustments stays where i moved it. Also i reckoned when hitting the before/after button (to show them side-by-side) look the same when this happens. Behaviour is not limited to a single picture but all of them. Any suggestions? Intented behaviour? Toggle somewhere? Cheers, Kathrin
Dan C
Hi @Kathrin_33, Welcome to the forums Could you please provide a screen recording of the behaviour you're seeing, as this isn't something I've heard of before? If you're unsure how to take a screen recording, please check out our FAQ linked below - Many thanks in advance!

Dan C
Many thanks for your recording @Kathrin_33! Can you please confirm for me: What model camera does your RAW image originate from? Which RAW engine are you using within Affinity (if known)? If you develop the image before the changes revert on screen, which image is produced - the edited version, or the original? Many thanks once again!
Kathrin_33
Hello Dan, i use a NIKON D90. I found that when i open a .nef file that was taken on my camera it is shown as .tiff in Affinity. Not sure where to see what raw engine gets loaded. Naturally i want to apply changes to my pictures and see those. What happens instead is that the image seen in affinity bounces back to original. When i hit the develop button all changes re-appear in the resulting file, so the edited version gets produced. That is the case when the picture bounced back as well when not (for the latter you have to be real quick as it happens in a matter of seconds). Hope that clarifies... Cheers, Kathrin
Dan C
Many thanks for confirming that for me! There should be no issue with this camera model, if you have not changed the RAW engine setting then this will be set to Serif LABs by default. You can change this by navigating to View>Assistant Manager whilst in the Develop Persona. I'd like to try resetting your app back to default settings, to see if this stops this behaviour from happening. You can reset your app back to its default settings by holding down the CTRL key while launching the app. When the Clear User Data window appears, click Select All and then Clear. The app will now open. Be aware that resetting your app back to its default settings will lose any custom settings such as keyboard shortcuts and brushes etc. Please do let me know if this helps!
