Halftone Live Filter but Leave the Stroke Alone

Hi again!

I haven't touched Photo much but needed to apply a halftone live filter, I've now brought the document back into Designer (it will eventually go into Publisher), is there any way to make the filter affect the fill of an object and not the stroke?

Why not adding an element with your stroke and no filter applied on top?

I realise this post is ‘a bit late to the party’ but I only found it by accident while searching for something else.
One other method is to release the Filter from its current layer and then drag it back onto the layer – see attached video.
