Tokamak Posted October 14, 2020 Posted October 14, 2020 When you want to change the order of the tabs of open documents, you can just drag the tab to move it. That's simple enough. But if you deviate the slightest bit from the very narrow vertical range of the tab bar, the document pops out to become its own window. This is also fine. But when you move it back into the tab area, the tab for that document has been bumped to the end, rather than going to the part of the bar you are trying to drag it to. This means that sometimes it takes half a dozen tries for me to actually get a document tab in the right place, if I want it near the beginning (left side) of the tab area, because any time I move too far up or down so it pops out into its own window, it means I'm going to have to try again. The normal expected behavior is to be able to drag a popped-out window to a desired location in the tab area, instead of it always reverting to the end of the list. Is there any way to do this? Thanks for your time! Quote
76mm Posted March 23 Posted March 23 So no responses to this after more than four years? I have the same issue and wish that there was a hotkey or something to hold down to prevent tabs from "popping out" of the tab order. Quote
